Been a little bit, so here’s what I’ve been up to:

1) Work

2) Sleep

3) Time with the dog

4) Bathroom renovations.

I was out on some consulting work the other day and I was excited to see this:

Kind of messed up that $4 a gallon is “cheap” gas.

Sadly I’ve been a slacker so no pictures of the bathroom updates, but Leif is always photogenic.

He’s savage beast, hunting all manner of creatures… like moths!

It’s been really hot so Leif decided it’d be a good time for a swim.

We went to the dogpark and his new friend Bandit, along with longtime pals Hershey, Hunter and Rudy went swimming in the stream:

A long day of running around in the heat and dragging me with him… and it became an unintended naptime.

Notice how we both lay roughly the same way, with legs hanging off our respective beds…

I guess the server upgrade at the office will have to wait until next weekend.

This past weekend I spent most of Friday night playing GTA online with Ken.

Cooperative missions had us a bit befuddled at first, but eventually, much to the joy of our teammates, we figured out what the hell we’re supposed to be doing.

Saturday was a day mostly relaxing around the house.

Leif likes to chill with me on the couch:

Sunday was spent at the office, but such is life.

Lethy and my mom love to garden.

And I must say, the results are great. It’s always nice to walk out the door heading to work and be greeted by the aroma of lots of flowers.

Which flowers are which, I haven’t a clue.

Here’s some pics of round 1 of the 2008 front garden:

The yellow tulip type flowers grew out and around the small pines, stretching for light. It was quite impressive.

And the latest set of flora:

Missed in between the 2 pictures was when the Iris’s bloomed. Sorry, I will try to do a better of documenting the various floral phases next year!

I am a strapping young man.

But today, I became 100x more strapped… for just $10!

As the summer has heated up… the idea of taking a nice relaxing, cold shower in my hard worked for, travertine tile shower sounds really appealing.

However, there is a problem with that….

The shower is still quite far from functional.

The next phase of the project: Clean the tile to prep it for sealing and grouting.

Step 1: Get a sponge.

Step 2: Scrub.

Step 3: Sweat. Warning… this is a little graphic.

Step 3a: Scrub and Sweat at the same time. Sorry, no photo of that. I know you are sorely disappointed.

Scrubbing AND sweating is truly a great feat. So great in fact, that all photos of it have been deemed classified.

Step 4: Take off your gloves….

Admire your handy-work… doesn’t wet tile just look so great?

Step 5: Marvel at how shriveled your fingers are:

Step 6: Take a shower… in the other bathroom.
