Last night I beat Flirtin’ With Disaster and Snow (Hey Oh) back to back.

I was en fuego.

Perhaps HMX will now bump up the release date of Rockband 2 because clearly the October date was picked in order to give me sufficient time to master the original game.

Wednesday I “Called in sick” and forced Lethy to go with me to the beach for a day.

We drove out to Long Island, grabbed some IHOP, and checked into the hotel. From there we went to the beach.

At that point, Lethy must have been wondering WTF we were doing there… we didn’t wear bathing suits to the beach, didn’t bring towels.

Sun was starting to set and over at the Nokia theater soundcheck could be heard for some concert.

I told Lethy to ask around to the few people barbecuing and such, but we went for a walk along the beach instead.

Around 7:30, we noticed a large crowd in the parking lot and some sort of announcements about prizes.

Lethy demanded to know why we were there and rummaged through my pockets.

Finally, I handed over the envelope I had carefully concealed and she opened it up.

Honestly, she didn’t seem that excited – I guess I should have told her earlier so she could enjoy the phase getting excited before a big show.

We walked over to the Nikon and went through some of the little contests, I won crap and Lethy won a shirt and a pair of pants. Finally they let us in and Lethy got to see just how awesome our seats were.

I had a whole nice thing written up with the pictures embedded, but WordPress decided I wasn’t logged in and trashed the rest of this post.

Pictures from the show can be seen here.

Weiland was really on… on something most likely. He was really energetic and his voice held true throughout the show. They played every hit they had and mixed things up nicely between slow + hard songs.

Robert DeLeo brought his son out on stage and we all sang him happy birthday, it was cute. Poor kid looked terrified though.
