For new years we drove up to Stamford to see Steve’s new townhouse and go see the Hobbit!
To top if off after The Hobbit, we watched Fellowship of the Ring!

For our last concert of the year we went and saw Halestorm at the Wellmont.
We went to dinner around the corner first and had some nice italian food then got to the show right before start.
Good thing, too, because Halestorm’s opener was Halestorm, acoustic!
We forgot to bring the camera again so here’s a couple crappy pictures from my phone ><
Halestorm seemed to really enjoy themselves and with a happy crowd it was a really fun night.

Madison’s birthday is on Decembter 29th so we went and visited them all and had a little lego building party.
It was good to see them and I think everyone had fun.
This year we did Thanksgiving out in Park City.
We got some more upgrades done at the house.
The skiing wasn’t the best – 3 days of limited trails at PC then 1 day of full (small) mountain over at Solitude.
Still it was nice to get away from the grind for a few days and enjoy our time there.
Just before Halloween, we went to see a couple late 90’s alt rock bands!
On the way there we stopped at our favorite 50’s ice cream shop slash asian fusion diner – Baumgart’s (the original one in Englewood).
Eve 6 opened up and I only recognized 2 of their songs and they kept pushing their new album.
Ho-hum.
Everclear was the reason we were there but sadly I think the guys voice is forever broken.
From the very first song he was struggling to hold long notes and hit high notes.
They focused on old material which was great and he gave it his all.
