At the very end of August, Lethy, Dave and myself headed out to PNC for a little festival.

Halestorm was one of the openers – I had not seen them before nor heard much of their music.

They were a lot of fun – particularly the drummer – who spends as much time flinging drumsticks around as using them to hit drums.

Their set was pretty short and included a duet with the singer of Evanescence.

We saw Halestorm again just before New Years, so more there.

Chevelle was on 2nd to last.

They are OK, their guitar + bass combination of play works really well musically, but I don’t think their songwriting is all that great nor their lyrics.

Evanescence sounded great as always.

The current backing band even sang the backup vocal parts instead of the weird silence from previous times.

The set and setlist were pretty much the same since the last time we saw them, but it was still fun.
